“The following is my personal testimonial regarding my wife’s intervention last July. My wife has had a prescription drug and pain issues for the past seven years. She had stopped doing anything that her doctor instructed her to do. She would just lay in bed, drinking quarts of Vodka and handfuls of prescription painkillers. I found out later that she was also taking a variety of sedatives.
Our Interventionist, Mr. David Katz, came highly recommended by a friend that excepted Mr. Katz’s help 5 years ago, he remained sober. Every detail seemed to be recorded and filed in his memory. After that first session, and the resulting 2 practices that we had with the family, it seemed like David knew more about my wife than I did. Later, after talking to the other members of the family, they all said that same thing.
The day of the intervention arrived, and everyone was so nervous. Finally after all that education and practice…we were doing it.
My wife responded to our love and how together we were. At first she was angry, and was very concerned about having to live in pain if her medication was taken away,
Today (Sept. 1, 2007) my wife has almost 90 days sober. , and our whole family is attending counseling. I have my wife back, at times; I kid my wife by saying to her….”That was the best money I’ve ever spent in my life.”
Thanks again David,

“We should like to take this opportunity to recommend David Katz highly for We were referred to David as the top intervention counselor in our area. David met with us several times to coach us in the process during the period leading up to the intervention. , yet never allowed us to lose sight of what we were about to do. While he felt we were not sufficiently prepared to proceed with the intervention when we asked him to, he agreed, and the outcome, though painful, resulted in our son agreeing to enter a rehab facility. When our son asked if he could have two days to rearrange his schedule at work, David honored that request and our son stayed in touch with him on a daily basis. He is now doing well at the rehabilitation center and and for being there for all of us before, during and after the intervention.
David exemplifies all the characteristics of what we hoped for – , maintaining an understanding that gave us confidence to carry on. Our family had hoped to do this on our own, but we soon came to realize that we had neither the tools nor the strength to confront our son without professional guidance. With David’s help, we were able to challenge him with the consequences he faced should he not agree to rehabilitation. ”
Sincerely,

“I first met David Katz on April 30, 2003 during what I later learned was an Intervention. As I sat in my mom’s living room surrounded by family and friends sharing their concerns for me and my drug use Every time I would try to interject, interrupt, make excuses or control what was going on, there he was, bringing the attention back onto the issues that everyone (but me of course) was there to discuss.
After much discussion about what the consequences would be should I have chosen not to accept help that night (and some negotiations) I agreed to go to the treatment facility he had lined up. He insisted on following us all the way out there in the wee hours of the night to make sure I actually made it.
I feel blessed that David was the one that did my Intervention. If it had not been for him and his ability to connect with me, ”

“ My DUI school (SB38) counselor had given up and describe me to the group as a late stage alcoholic drug addict with yellow eyes. As a last resort he tricked me into seeing a therapist who might be able to “save my life”. I only went to stay out of jail. The therapist turned out to also serve as my interventionist, and He said I needed to let him think for me for a while, and then I might get better. I didn't want to do that, my problem was the pills and booze, how dare he question my thinking! and despite myself, started to get better.
, then a sense of integrity or the truth filtered thought even my poor addled mind. That was his edge and I do think it may have saved my life.”
